Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have an exciting 3 weeks ahead of us. With so much to look forward to, I want to caution everyone to stay focused because the end of the 2nd nine weeks is just after our Christmas break. Please continue to read each night and keep up with your reading log.

WOW!

What a wonderful first quarter of learning and fun. I am so proud of the effort each of you put into your work this nine weeks. We are 1/4 of the way finished with 5th grade. What fraction, decimal, and percent do we have left in our school year?

Make sure you continue to work on your reading log daily. We want to have 100% of our class to participate in the 2nd Quarter Reading Challenge. Remember. this is a requirement for our class that you turn in the log of books you have read each day. Ask your parents to sign them regularly.

Our word of the week is, "impact". Let's see if we can have an impact on our math skills this week by studying each night!

I  am so looking forward to our PTA Family Fun, Health, and Safety Night on Monday, October 5th! Please make plans to come and learn important information about health and safety.

 Also, don't forget our next DC payment ($79)is due October 23rd.

The Washington, DC deposit date has been extended until Thursday, September 17th. It's not to late to sign up to go. Please let me know if you are interested.
